Support the Transition:
One Mission, One Final Pilot
Help us train the team that will carry this mission forward.
We recently shared that UnChained would be winding down its operations as a nonprofit. While we are still preparing to retire our organization in 2026, the future of our mission has changed for the best possible reason.
We have identified a wonderful organization to adopt our program. This ensures that the healing connection between youth and dogs will continue in a new long-term home.
But before we pass the torch, we have one final job to do.
From January 12 through April 10, we are launching a special pilot program at Monterey County Juvenile Hall.
For this cycle, one special canine teacher will live on-site with youth. But this class is about more than just dog training. It is about people training. Our team will be working side-by-side with the new organization’s staff, teaching them our curriculum and protocols to ensure they are ready to lead this mission for years to come.
Your donation today directly funds this "hand-off" pilot. It puts leashes in hands, a dog in training, and ensures our successors are ready to succeed from Day One.
A Note on Your Impact: 100% of your gift supports the mission. Any funds raised beyond the immediate costs of this pilot will travel with the program to its new organizational home, ensuring they have the resources for a strong start.
