Adoptable Dogs

Barney

Barney is an 8-year-old, 71-pound Labrador/Shepherd/Chow mix. This boy has a simple mission in life: to love and be loved. He's a joyful dog who adores getting attention - and then giving it right back. He has a big smile on his face for everyone he meets.

He walks well on a leash and likes to run and play with other dogs his size. Barney gets along famously with his foster brother and sister, Mortis and Layla, and they have great fun hanging out together. Sometimes he gets overly excited around small dogs and cats, but he's generally a gentleman. He hasn't shown interest in toys, but he does very much like bones.

Barney is overjoyed to ride in the car. When he goes outside, he immediately runs to the car hoping you're off on an adventure. He loves to stick his nose out the window and smell the air. At home, he likes to stay in the house and keep you company. When you come home from work or running an errand, Barney greets you with little yelps of "you're back! you're back!" joy. For more information about meeting or adopting Barney, please fill out an online adoption application through Peace of Mind Dog Rescue.
